BMP History

Boxcar Studios was founded in Madison, WI in February of 2002 by singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, engineer & producer Daniel Anderson.  Boxcar offered full service start to finish professional recording & production services, rehearsal space for local bands & music lessons.  Literally hundreds of tracks and dozens of albums were recorded & produced by Boxcar Studios as it became a popular place for singer/songwriters, musicians & bands to realize their dreams of putting their music to "tape".  Boxcar featured a creative & experienced "house band" that was utilized by many singer/songwriters as their backing band.  Boxcar Studios moved in 2008 to a farm north of Pardeeville continuing her mission of making professional recordings for various artists.  In 2012, Boxcar was moved to the fully renovated basement of Daniel Anderson's home in Sun Prairie.  Currently, Boxcar is located on the west side of Madison & has changed the name to Boxcar Music Productions (BMP) reflecting the expansion of services offered to include professional live sound production & talent management for highly talented & experienced bands, artists & DJ's.  BMP hopes you we will be your first contact for any music production needs you may have in the future!
